Pentagonal Pyramid![]() Click on the image to compare it with the raw data image. Click here for a simple VRML-Model. Apart from the height, the scale is the same as on the images. The 5 corner-points of the pentagonal pyramid did I set on the picture without thinking about any special ratios between them. After this, I measured the following angles inside the ground plane:
A=110° The ratios between these angles are:
A*e/3 = B (0.5% dev.) A is the angle in the lower corner. The other angles are named counter-clockwise. Note, that arcsin(1/3) = 19.47° is a very special value for an angle in our solar system. The photo is aligned at exact north-south direction and mirrored.
The mask is dated to 5900-4000 BC in the Ubaid period of Sumeria.
